Project objectives and expected results

CO-CREATION AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

1.Engage stakeholders in a co-
creation process to define future-
proofing implementation
pathways for vulnerable buildings

ARCHITECTURAL ANALYSIS AND INNOVATION

1.Analyze architectural interventions,novel designs, and materials for renovating vulnerable buildings and future-proofing new ones.

2.Propose a framework for assessing building vulnerability and
quantifying impact within the building ecosystem

DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF SOLUTIONS

1.Build an ICT platform and AI tools for data gathering, harmonization,sharing, and data-driven decision-making.

2.Facilitate the replication and upscaling of renovation packages
through a capacity-building programme

Methodology

CLIMRES promotes “Leadership for Climate Resilient Buildings” by identifying and categorizing vulnerabilities in buildings and estimating their impact within the urban ecosystem.

Target groups

  • Buildings/construction value chain stakeholders Local communities
  • Policy Enablers
  • Technology and digital tools providers
  • Scientific Community

CLIMRES will support the adaptation of vulnerable buildings to climate change by providing:

  • vulnerability assessment methodologies;
  • an inventory hub for climate resilient buildings (together with novel solutions integration sustainable materials, prefabricated modules as well as blue-green infrastructure elements);
  • a decision support toolkit supporting decisions at different levels (strategic, tactical, operational).
